The spirit of the program is to ensure coaches, players and referees have access to a positive and challenging soccer environment in the Thompson Okanagan.

General

Games will be played on Sundays. Double headers will be scheduled. In the event of a color clash pinnies will be used.

Format

i. All official Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League games shall be played under the current BCSA Rules of the Game for U11/U12.
ii. To conform to the BCSA philosophy of “non-results oriented” play at this age no stats will be recorded & no league winner will be declared.
iii. Districts will not tier teams based on strength, and districts with two or more teams must ensure that teams are of equal strength for games.
iv. Parents and Spectators will be on the opposite side of the field to the teams. Coaches shall have the right to request the referee to enforce this rule.

Districts are responsible for the actions of their teams, players, managers, officials and spectators.
Districts are required to take all precautions to prevent and discourage unruly behavior, threats, and /or assaults on players, officials, before, during and after the conclusion of the game.
