The spring coach's clinics will take place on the following dates at the Turf Field in the mission

March 3, 12, 19 and April 2, 7, and 9 from 6pm to 7.30pm with the exception of March 19 which will finish at 7pm.

It is expected that coaches will attend these sessions and there will be a sign up sheet. I will also be using coaches as players so please come prepared to take part.

We will be hosting BCSA coaching courses in March and April, please contact me to discuss whether you should attend any of these. To be on the bench at provincials the minimum requirement is the Community Coach Youth Course. The CCY course is March 29 and 30 at the turf field and on April 5 and 12 we will host a Community Coach Senior course also at the turf field. KU reimburses the fee for this course after the course when we receive a copy of your receipt.

We are planning to host a Provincial B course in the Okanagan in October, the cost of this course is $500 and the KU board is looking at some financial assistance for people who attend and are successful in passing this course. I will be putting together working group for candidates on his course that will meet on a regular basis through the summer and fall in an attempt to help as many people as possible get through the course as possible.

BCSA Courses for Coaches

The dates for the upcoming Community Coach courses are now listed on the BCSA website. It is our policy to reimburse coaches who attend these courses after the course, all we will need is a copy of the receipt.
